Question #2:
Need recipe for "blender" meals. Just had my wisdom teeth removed. Dry sockets!?
I have tried the shakes, mixes, Ensure, etc. All of the are making me sick. (Over processed) I usually eat raw foods, or grilled. I'm not as much worried about the taste as I am in getting proper nutrition in my body. I have lost 13 pounds in 11 days.I like most types of seasonings, except for traditional Indian. I love sushi, Mexican, Italian, and Southern cooking is OK. I really need help. My overall physical condition is deteriorating because of lack of nutrition. It looks like at least two more weeks of this!
I am a good cook, and enjoy cooking. You can give me a complicated recipe. You don't have to make it simple.
What foods make me feel good:
Salmon (raw)
Spinach (raw or cooked)
Rice (Jasmine)
Bell Pappers (green and red)
Onions (Any)
Garlic
Zuccini
chicken
crab
mushrooms
tomatoes
carrots
eggplant
This list is just a starting point. I will eat most foods, but I eat because of how food makes me feel. Thank you in advance for all your help.
Kelli
Thanks to the one lady that actually answered my question. Please don't write me about how wonderfully your perfect wisdom tooth extraction went. Mine didn't go well. Please just give me recipes. I think "does not follow directions well" was an issue in school for you guys.
Question: I need a recipe.
Answer: I had no problems with my wisdom teeth when they were removed.
Yahoo answers is a joke.

What's a good fish to start with?
I have had an aversion to fish for most of my life and I'm fairly certain it's a psychological thing, since I got very sick after eating some years and years ago. I do eat crab and on rare occasions shrimp, and weirdly I really like tuna from a can... only packed in water of course.Anyway, I hear more and more about the health benefits of fish, especially salmon, so I'd eventually like to work my way up to that. But for now, can anyone recommend a not-very-fishy fish and/or recipe that I could start out with?
**I already know raw fish, sardines and anchovies are out of the question!
Question #9:
Recipes for extreme limited resources?
Ok, so I need to make it 10-14 days on what I have...and trust me it's not much. (seriously, why throw out a bunch of food during the moving process? finding ways to eat it is such a better idea)Here's what I have and I'm really out of ideas:
3/4 bag of white rice
Instant mushroom rice
Instant potatoes and cheese potatoes
Plain potatoes
Sour Cream
Quaker Oats traditional style oatmeal
Brown Sugar
Milk
Apple Juice
Lots of kidney beans
Bag of black eyed peas
2 cans of fruit salad
2 cans of sweet peas
1 can of cut carrots
limited amounts of bread (love my pb&j)
plenty of peanut butter
plenty of grape jelly
large variety of condiments
Lots of noodles
1/2 of a yellow tomato
1/2 an onion
Strawberries
2 Zucchinis
1/2 bag of shredded carrots
Apple sauce
frozen grilled fillets with lemon
frozen Pollock fillets
frozen salmon fillets
probably about 3-4 super sized cheese and potato pirogies
Large variety of spices
Generic mac and cheese
Beef Ramen (I'm not a fan of the beef flavor and the box was given to me...)
I know, it's a strange list.
I have NONE of these:
butter
oil
vinegar
eggs
red meat (yuck)
chicken
other meats not already mentioned...?
good luck and thank you!!!
Question #10:
I have a 3 yr old male chihuahua w/colitis. Is Natures recipe w/chicken,barley and rice good?
I had him on Naturally Wild Salmon by EukanubaQuestion #11:
Non-cook needs help!?
So I found this recipe but I'd like to substitute the salmon with chicken. I'd like to also bake the chicken with the salsa to allow the chicken to have more flavor. Is this possible or will the salsa become mushy? Do I need to cut out the chicken broth (chicken on chicken?)? Following the same recipe, how long should I bake the chicken for without it getting dry?1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2.Whisk together lime juice, olive oil, soy sauce, shallots, and sugar. Stir in the pineapple, tomatoes, and basil. Season with salt and pepper. Cover, and refrigerate. Remove from refrigerator 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
3.Place salmon in a 9x13-inch pan. Pour chicken broth over the top, and sprinkle with lemon pepper.
4.Bake in a preheated oven until fish flakes easily with a fork, about 30 to 40 minutes. Serve with salsa on the side.
So foil and chicken broth in...good to know. Can I still bake the salsa with the chicken and if so, when in the baking process should I add the salsa?
I didn't think it was weird at all. Sounds like baked chicken with garden salsa. Seems like there are a lot of recipes out there like this one.
Thanks in advance for all the suggestion. I rarely cook and so all of your answers are VERY helpful.
Question #12:
Can someone explain this recipe?
I got this recipe for salmon off a website, and it says "Place fish in a large resealable plastic bag with the soy sauce mixture, seal, and turn to coat. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours." Does it mean i'm suppose to let it, marinade, in a sense, or just cover with the mixture, take it out, then refrigerate it? I don't cook very often, and am trying to suprise my parents with a nice meal, can someone clarify please? Here's the recipe Click HereQuestion #13:

Need easy food exchange chart/book?
I am desperately looking for a simple chart or booklet that I can plan a 1500 diabetic diet from. I want to be able to carry it with me or keep it in the car when I'm on the go or when I grocery shop. I check out all the diabetic recommended sites and they have so much information to sift through. I just want to look at a semi-basic list of foods and pick out "one of these, two of these, one of these . . . ." and then THAT'S IT! THAT will be my balanced meal or snack. I'm just starting out, so I don't want to build a recipe, join a message board, or find baked shrimp/salmon/codfish bruhaha-something-or-other that I'll never eat in a million years.Seems like I saw something similar on an infomercial for Robert Ferguson's weight loss system, but I only need a simple fold-out chart or booklet. And I don't need to spend $100 just to get a list. Any help out there? Thanks!
P.S. If you happen to recommend the American Diabetes website, please specify where on the site I can find this. I've looked and there's just so much other stuff to sift through.

Gluten free, sugar free, and soy free food recipes.?Gluten free, sugar free, and soy free food recipes.?
No veggies that grow underground apart from garlic and onions.
So, no potatoes. No cow products. No rice (no rice flower or anything with rice). I can have wild salmon and meat/chicken occasionally.
My doctor put me on this whack diet because I have chronic lyme disease, and I got to be on the whole raw food diet, but a little more stricter.
If you are not going to answer the question please don't leave rude comments.
I am seeing one of the top doctors, so she knows what she is talking about.
So, Any recipe ideas?
Websites?
Thanks.
